Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 Capital Budget, the Water Utility has budgeted $1.55 million for the conversion of well 12 to a two-zone well for improved operational flexibility and reliability to Madison’s west side (MUNIS 10452).  The project is funded by revenue bonds.

 

The proposed contract approves plan documents for the proposed work to be completed for the Whitney Way Water Pipeline at an estimated cost of $800,000.

Approving plans and specifications and authorizing the Board of Public Works to advertise and receive bids for  Whitney Way Water Pipeline.

Body

BE IT RESOLVED,

 

1)                     That the plans and specifications for Whitney Way Water Pipeline be and are hereby approved.

 

2)                     That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby authorized to advertise and receive bids for said project.

 

3)                     That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign and grant easements or right-of-way release or procurement documents, maintenance agreements or encroachment agreements, as necessary and grant or accept dedication of lands and/or easements from/to the Developer/Owner for public improvements located outside of existing public fee title or easement right-of-ways.

 

Note - This project was approved in 2015 (RES-15-00290) and is being re-submitted with an updated budget.  The scope of work is the same.
