City IT is working with the Fire Department and vendor to recommend the most effective setup. Costs exceeding the $5,000 grant will be funded through MMRS funds or from the Fire Department’s operating budget. Ongoing costs are anticipated to be $3,000 in 2016 for software license costs and are available in the Fire Department’s budget and $3,000 on an annual basis.

Ebola Funds - $10,710 (MUNIS 30120-53230)

This new grant funds medical supplies relating to Ebola and/or epidemic/pandemic preparedness supplies.  This is a one-time grant with no matching requirements. After the initial purchase of the supplies, the Fire Department does not anticipate any additional costs.

TEMS Training - $7,000 (MUNIS 30115-51310)

This new grant funds participation of 10 Madison TEMS medics in tactical medical training and covers tuition, time, and associated supplies.  This is a one-time grant and there are no matching requirements.  Training will be completed while the team is on-duty and there are no additional or ongoing costs that the City will need to absorb.
