Fiscal Note

In the 2016 adopted capital budget Engineering Ped/Bike has budgeted $2.685 million for the major Sidewalk Program (MUNIS 10148) which funds the repair of defective sidewalk.  The minor project for the 2016 Citywide Sidewalk improvements (MUNIS 11106) has sufficient budget authority for the assigned costs of the contract in the proposed resolution.  Funding is provided from GO borrowing and special assessments.

 

The proposed resolution awards the specified contract for a total estimated cost of $409,350. The cost will be assigned to agencies as follows:

 

$302,280 - Engineering Ped/Bike

$107,070 - Engineering Major Streets.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
