A Resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement with the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin to accept the grant award to Planning and Community and Economic Development agency (PCED) discussed in File ID 36321.

Body

WHEREAS, On January 20, 2015, the Common Council adopted Resolution RES-15-00078, File ID No. 36321, to authorize amending the budget of the Planning and Community and Economic Development agency (PCED) entitled “Urban Footprint Scenario Transit Oriented Planning,” with authorized expenditures of $575,000 comprised, in part, of a $25,000 grant from the University of Wisconsin System as part of the State Smart Transportation Initiative. This resolution will authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement with the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin to accept the grant award; and

 

WHEREAS, the Common Council adopted Resolution RES-15-00078 (ID # 36321) on January 20, 2015, amending the budget of the Planning and Community and Economic Development agency (PCED) entitled “Urban Footprint Scenario Transit Oriented Planning,” with authorized expenditures of $575,000 comprised, in part, of a $25,000 grant from the University of Wisconsin System as part of the State Smart Transportation Initiative; and

 

WHEREAS, the resolution mentioned the $25,000 grant from the University of Wisconsin System within the context of amending PCED budget, but it did not specifically authorize the mayor and city clerk to execute a contract accepting the grant award; and

 

WHEREAS, APM 1-1 requires specific Common Council approval authorizing the mayor and city clerk to enter into a grant contract for accepting the grant award.

 

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute an agreement with the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin to accept the grant award discussed above and in RES-15-00078.
