St. Mary’s Care Center located at 3401 Maple Grove Drive is proposing a building expansion on the southeast corner of their existing facility. This addition will add 14,466 SF of additional impervious area, increasing the detention volume requirement for the site. This site was approved for detention variances in 2001 for the original construction and again in 2005 for a parking expansion. This property drains to the existing Upper Badger Mill Creek Regional South Basin located near the intersection of Nesbitt Road and Maple Grove Drive. The variance amount for fee in lieu of providing detention using 2016 rates is $6,715.51. Considering this site has received approval of detention variances in the past in conjunction with the limited site areas to provide detention onsite City Engineering staff support this variance request.
This action requires approval of the Board of Public Works only, and therefore does not require a resolution to Council.
