Amending Sections 12.138(11), 12.142(3), 12.1425(3)(b), and 12.145(3) and creating Section 12.142(1)(e) of the Madison General Ordinances to increase the rates for metered parking and residential parking permits.
Body
DRAFTER'S ANALYSIS: This ordinance amendment increases the hourly rates for metered parking and increases the charge for hangtag permits and temporary restricted parking and temporary no parking zones established by meter hoods. It also increases the permit fee and replacement fee for residential parking permits. Finally, it creates a subdivision related to a fee for Street Occupancy Permits where the use of the street removes parking meters. The change is consistent with Parking Utility practice and is now being codified.
