Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget, Engineering Major Streets has budgeted $5.96 million for the major Pavement Management project (MUNIS 10540) to provide for resurfacing of existing streets.  Funding comes from GO borrowing, utility fund reserves, and revenue bonds. The minor capital project for Crack Seal and Chip Seal 2016 (MUNIS 10507) has sufficient budget authority for the contract cost. The portion for Water Utility improvements also has sufficient budget authority for the proposed cost. The proposed resolution approves the contract at an amount of $330,170.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
