Fiscal Note

In the adopted 2016 capital budget, the major project for the Sidewalk Program (MUNIS 10148) in engineering’s bicycle and pedestrian service has a total authorized budget of $2,685,000. This project funds the repair of defective sidewalks with the majority of funding from GO Borrowing. The minor capital project for Sidewalk Sawcutting in 2016 (MUNIS 11107) has available budget of $164,000, which is sufficient to cover the specified contract amount in the proposed resolution.

 

The proposed resolution will authorize $45,100 for the sidewalk sawcutting work associated with the project.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the following low bids for miscellaneous improvements be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the low bidders contained herein, subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 39.02 of the Madison General Ordinances concerning compliance with the Affirmative Action provisions and subject to the Contractor's compliance with Section 33.07 of the Madison General Ordinances regarding Best Value Contracting:

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds be encumbered to cover the cost of the projects contained herein.
