Amendment #2: Increase compensation for final design and construction administration services for the Paterson Street Water Utility Operations Center by $126,902. Funds for this project are included in the 2015 Water Utility Capital Budget.

Paterson Street.
Body
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility entered into a Professional Services Agreement with Mead and Hunt on August 2, 2013 for Pre-Design and Alternative Development Services; and

WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility executed Amendment #1 to the contract with Mead and Hunt on December 5, 2014 for final design, bidding and construction administration services for the project; and

WHEREAS, Mead and Hunt have completed the preliminary analysis, alternative development, final design, and bidding services for the project, and are currently administering project construction; and

WHEREAS, Mead and Hunt have identified additional unanticipated costs incurred during final design, permitting and the bidding process that have not been authorized by Madison Water Utility in the amended scope of services. These costs were necessary and reasonable to complete the project, obtain the required permits, and meet the overall objectives of Madison Water Utility for the upgraded Operations Center. Mead and Hunt has requested an increase in compensation to cover these additional costs; and

WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has reviewed the request and recommends an increase of $126,902 to the contract.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute Amendment No. 2 with Mead and Hunt Inc. to increase the total...
