Title: Envisioning the Future of Madison and the Yahara Watershed The Madison area is changing fast. The decisions we make today that impact our land and water will also impact the well-being of future generations. How can we ensure we make good choices? Scenarios, or plausible stories about the future, are decision-making tools that can help. A UW-Madison research team has developed Yahara 2070, a set of scenarios that depict possible ways the Greater Madison area could change by 2070. These scenarios help us understand potential impacts on land and water and facilitate discussions about how to build a resilient and desirable future. Visit yahara2070.org. Two members of this team, called the Water Sustainability and Climate Project, will present on Yahara 2070: Eric Booth, research scientist and ecohydrologist, and Jenny Seifert, science writer/outreach coordinator
