The proposed resolution includes approval of a two year contract between the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs and the Madison Fire Department. The initial agreement is for two years with three one-year options to extend. The fiscal impact for the first two-year term of the contract is $27,000 in revenue paid to the Fire Department. If the contract is renewed through 2020, total revenue sums to $69,700 over five years.

Body
The Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs (DMA) operates the Truax Fire Department. The Truax Fire Department provides initial emergency medical services at the Dane County Regional Airport and Truax Field.
The City of Madison has contracted with DMA to allow Truax Fire Department to participate under the approved City of Madison Fire Department emergency medical services plan.This agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs first started on July 12, 2004-Resolution No. 61645.
Both the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs and the Fire Department wish to continue this cooperative agreement. The two year agreement covers calendar years 2016 and 2017 for the amount of $13,500 annually. The contract includes three one-year options to extend. The years 2018 and 2019 would be in the amount of $14,000 annually and 2020 would be a 5% increase.
WHEREAS, the City and Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs wish to continue this cooperative agreement.
