Fiscal Note

This budget amendment adds a total of $485,300 in budget authority to sub-projects of the Sidewalk Program major capital project.  The projects and amounts are listed below:

 

State Street Sidewalk (10161):

     $35,000 TID 32 Funding (10161-403-906)

     $11,300 Reimbursement of Expenses (10161-403-750)

 

District 10 Sidewalk  (10152):

     $20,000 Special Assessments (10152-403-904)

 

District 20 Sidewalk (10155):

     $50,000 Special Assessments (10155-403-904)

 

Citywide Requested Sidewalk (10157):

     $61,000 Reimbursement of Expenses (10157-402-750)

     $10,000 Special Assessments (10157-402-904)

     $285,000 Reimbursement of Expenses (10157-403-750)

     $13,000 Special Assessments (10157-403-904)

 

 

Title

Amending the 2015 Capital Budget for Engineering-Bicycle & Pedestrian to increase budget authority to recognize additional Special Assessments, TIF and Reimbursement of Expenses as funding sources for the various Sidewalk Program projects.

Body

WHEREAS, $395,000 of GO funding was not borrowed due to lower than expected City funded repair work; and

 

WHEREAS, several Sidewalk Program sub-projects will have non-GO funding sources that will come in over budget; and

 

WHEREAS, the budget authority in the State St Sidewalk Repair capital project (10161) is currently short $35,000 in TIF funding and $11,300 in Reimbursement of Expense (MG&E); and

 

WHEREAS, the budget authority in the District 10 Ordered Sidewalk (10152) and the District 20 Ordered Sidewalk (10155) projects are currently short $70,000 in Special Assessment funding; and

 

WHEREAS, the Citywide Requested Sidewalk project (10157), which does work for other City agencies as well as some assessable work, is currently short $23,000 in Special Assessment and $346,000 in Reimbursement of Expenses (from other City agencies); and

 

WHEREAS, in order to correct these budgetary issues, a budget amendment is necessary to increase the budget authority in recognition of these additional realized revenue sources.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2015 Capital Budget of Engineering-Bicycle and Pedestrian is hereby amended to add an additional $485,300 in budget authority to properly reflect in the budget the expected additional funding sources for various sidewalk projects.
