Charlie Ethridge of Glueck Architects appeals IBC 705.8. The rule requires that from 0 to 3 feet openings are not permitted. This is an existing building that is undergoing a change of use. There is a permanant utility easment along the wall in question so it cannot be built upon. The Madison Fire Department supports the variance.
