Title
Resolution altering the membership of a Subcommittee of the Transit and Parking Commission and approving Mayoral appointments thereto.
Body
Whereas, on April 21, 2015, the Common Council adopted a resolution (Legislative File 37359) creating a Subcommittee of the Transit and Parking Commission (Subcommittee) to include three to five members of the Commission, as determined by the Commission, with two additional citizens, including at least one downtown business person, to be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Common Council;
Whereas, at its meeting on June 10, 2015, the Transit and Parking Commission appointed five citizen members to the Subcommittee;
Whereas, the work of the Subcommittee will benefit from including a member of the Common Council;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the earlier resolution's requirement for the Mayor to appoint two citizens is altered so that the Mayor may appoint one citizen and one Common Council member;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that by the Common Council's adoption of this resolution, the Mayor makes the following appointments to the Subcommittee of the Transit and Parking Commission:
SANDRA TORKILDSON (2nd A.D.) - to the position of Citizen Member. Ms. Torkildson is the owner of A Room of One's Own bookstore and also serves on the Downtown Coordinating Committee.
