Fiscal Note
The anticipated cost of the Lake Rescue Boat is $200,000. This project is not budgeted in 2015; however it is included in 2016 of the CIP. The Fire Department has identified savings in other projects to generate the savings necessary to purchase the boat in 2015. Projects that will be reduced to offset the boat purchase include Key Box Security ($28k reduction), Fire Ventilation Simulator ($43k reduction), FEMA grant ($31.6k reduction), and Fire Equipment ($97.4k reduction).

The Fire Department is requesting approval to replace the Lake rescue boat this year. It is scheduled for replacement in 2016. However, funding is available in other projects due that were completed under budget, received a grant award,etc.

WHEREAS,the Fire Department is scheduled to replace the Lake Rescue Boat in 2016.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the 2015 Fire Department Capital Budget be amended to authorize the purchase of the boat this year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the funds identified for transfer are to be reallocated to project 17037-Lake Rescue Boat.
