Title
Authorizing the City to execute a contract with Performance Elevator Consulting, LLC to conduct elevator inspections for the Fire Department.
Body
The Fire Department conducts elevator inspections and one inspector left City employment in July of 2014. Human Resources could not find applicants with licensure and experience to fill the vacancy. We hired a trainee for this position. It was originally planned for the trainee to take the exam for certification in July of this year. The City must complete the overdue inspections before this employee is licensed. The adopted budget contains approximately $719,000 in Fire Department revenue for these inspections. The City must complete these inspections to maintain compliance with the State.
