License revenues of an estimated $5,000 have been included in the 2015 operating budget as part of the General Fund/Miscellaneous Licenses revenues administered by the City Clerk.

Relating to Union Cab's 2015-2017 Taxicab Operators' License Renewal, pursuant to Section 11.06, Madison General Ordinances.
 
Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 11.06, Madison General Ordinances, the following firms have applied for renewals of their taxicab operator licenses and permits, effective July 1, 2015:
Approval of the application for license to operate taxicabs by Union Cab of Madison Cooperative, Inc. (2458 Pennsylvania Avenue) for 80 permits.
 
WHEREAS, the Traffic Engineer has provided the Transit and Parking Commission with an investigative report on the applications and a recommendation to grant the licenses;
WHEREAS, the Common Council recommends that the following actions be taken with respect to the above applications for licenses:  Approval of the application for license to operate taxicabs by Union Cab of Madison Cooperative, Inc. (2458 Pennsylvania Avenue) for 80 permits.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following licenses are issued, subject to the provisions and conditions as stated above and the ordinances of the City of Madison:
       Union Cab of Madison Cooperative, Inc.
      2458 Pennsylvania Avenue
      For Meter Service
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be instructed to issue the licenses authorized by this resolution upon the filing of liability insurance as required by the Madison General Ordinances, upon filing of a schedule of fares applying to each license so granted as required by said ordinance, upon registering with the City Clerk the identity of the owner of such licensed cabs, and upon meeting the conditions as set forth above.
