Commending and thanking Alderperson Lauren Cnare for her dedicated service to the constituents in District 3 and to the City of Madison.
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Lauren Cnare was first elected to the Madison Common Council on April 5, 2005; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Cnare served as Common Council President Pro Tem during the 2010-2011 term and then served as Common Council President during the 2011-2012 term; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Cnare served on the Board of Estimates, Board of Health for Madison and Dane County, Capital Area Regional Planning Commission, Capitol East District Committee, City-County Liaison Committee, Committee on Aging, Common Council Organizational Committee, Community Development Block Grant Committee, Community Development Division Conference Committee, Community Services Committee, East Washington Avenue 800 Bock North Committee, Emerging Neighborhoods Fund Committee, Jeffrey Clay Erlanger Civility in Public Discourse Award, Inclusionary Zoning Advisory Oversight Committee, Lake Edge/Monona Grove School District Ad Hoc Committee, Monona Terrace Booking Event Assistance Advisory Committee, Overture Ad Hoc Committee, Plan Commission, Reapportionment & Redistricting Ad Hoc Committee, Senior Citizens Advisory Committee, Sister City Collaboration Committee, Urban Design Commission, and Water Utility Board and Zoning Code Rewrite Advisory Committee; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Lauren Cnare worked tirelessly during her tenure on resolving issues with the Overture Center and ongoing development furthering new urbanism and sustainable growth, championing the Madison Water Utility and the installation of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system, the drafting of the ordinance to regulate electronic delivery devices (aka electronic cigarettes) and on the construction of Madison Fire Station No. 13; and,
WHEREAS, Alderperson Lauren Cnare through her hard work and dedication to her aldermanic duties has faithfully and with honor served her constituents and the City of Madison,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Lauren Cnare for her dedicated service to her constituents in District 3 and the City of Madison.
