Commending and thanking Alderperson Denise DeMarb for her dedicated and conscientious service during her tenure as President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council.
 
Body
WHEREAS, Alderperson Denise DeMarb was elected by her peers to the office of President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council on April 29, 2014 for the term of 2014-2015; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson DeMarb met weekly with Mayor Paul Soglin, his staff and Common Council President Chris Schmidt to discuss issues effecting the city; and,
 
WHEREAS, during her term as Common Council President Pro Tem, Alderperson DeMarb served as vice-chair of the Common Council Organizational Committee and also served on the Administrative Review Board, Board of Estimates, Committee on Employee Relations, Community Development Division Conference Committee, Community Services Committee, Early Childhood Care & Education Committee, Ho-Chunk Nation/City of Madison Joint Planning Committee and the Sustainable Madison Transportation Master Plan Oversight Committee (Madison in Motion); and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson DeMarb has met the demands of her additional duties with diligent and dedicated service; and,
 
WHEREAS, Alderperson DeMarb, in addition to the above duties, continued to ably represent her 16th District constituents,
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and members of the Common Council commend and thank Alderperson Denise DeMarb for her dedicated and conscientious service during her tenure as President Pro Tem of the Madison Common Council.
