Fiscal Note
No funds have been budgeted for new Adult School Crossing Guard assignments. The cost of the new assignment for 2015 is $9,084. Funding is available in the 2015 adopted City operating budget, which has appropriated $1,200,000 in funding for the Contingent Reserve. The current, uncommitted balance of the Contingent Reserve is $1,163,000, (which assumes Legistar file 37044 appropriating $15,000 for Allied Grocery Travel Assistance is adopted) which will be reduced to $1,138,916 upon adoption of this amendment.

WHEREAS, Traffic Engineering staff have studied and reviewed crossing conditions for elementary school aged students crossing Woodington Way at the marked mid-block crosswalk in front of Falk Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, it was found that this location meets adopted City Criteria for assignment of Adult School Crossing Guards; and
WHEREAS, the Pedestrian/Bicycle/Motor Vehicle Commission approved this new Adult School Crossing Guard assignment at its January 27, 2015 meeting; and
WHEREAS, funds have not been budgeted for new Adult School Crossing Guard assignments;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that $9,084 be appropriated from the Contingent Reserve to the Police Department's 2015 operating budget to pay for this additional Adult School Crossing Guard with the funds being appropriated to:
