PREAMBLE
The City is proposing to reconstruct Buckeye Rd / County Trunk Highway AB (CTH AB) from Monona Dr. to Stoughton Rd. in 2018. The consultant's services will include the completion of preliminary plans and the Environmental Assessment report and Final Plans & Specifications.
Pursuant to City Ordinances and Policies, the City Engineer advertised for consultant proposals, reviewed the submitted proposals, and recommends the design engineering contract be awarded to Strand Associates.
This will be a multi-year design project (2015-2017) and construction is scheduled for 2018. $210,000 ($105,000 City of Madison & $105,000 Dane County) has been budgeted for the street design in 2015 and the remainder will be included in a future budget.
The City of Madison and Dane County are all participating in the design and shall cost share the design engineering contract.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute and agreement with Strand Associates for design engineering services for Buckeye Rd. / CTH AB, Monona Dr. to Stoughton Rd., and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement(s) with Dane County for cost sharing on the project. Separate agreements may be executed for separate phases of the work.
