The proposed Professional Services Agreement for professional engineering services for design and construction of the Upgrade of Unit Well 12 will not exceed $670,000.
Funds for this project are included in the 2014 Water Utility Capital Budget, Account No. EW01-54950-810459.
Title
SUBSTITUTE: Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute a Professional Services Agreement with (Short Elliott Hendrickson (SEH), Inc.) for pre-design planning, public participation support, the preparation of final construction drawings and specifications, permitting, bidding, and construction administration for the upgrade of Unit Well 12 (10th AD).
Body
WHEREAS, In 2006, Madison Water Utility had a Master Plan developed which recommended that Unit Well 12 be converted to a two-zone well that can allow for operational flexibility and reliability to the west side supply system between Pressure Zones 7 and 8; and
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has budgeted for this work in the 2014 Capital Budget; and
WHEREAS, Madison Water Utility has advertised for, received, and evaluated professional engineering consultant proposals for the work, and based on the recommendation of this process, the Water Utility Board has selected (Short Elliott Hendrickson (SEH), Inc.) for this work;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute a Professional Services Agreement not to exceed $670,000 with (Short Elliott Hendrickson (SEH), Inc.) for facility design, permitting, public participation support, preparation of drawings and specifications, bidding services, and construction administration services for the design and construction of the Upgrade of Unit Well 12.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that amendments that do not exceed the Madison Water Utility's approved capital budget or the scope of the Upgrade of Unit Well 12 project as authorized by the Common Council may be executed by the Water Utility General Manager and City Finance Director ...
