Title
Authorizing the execution of an Underground Electric Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of the City Water Utility Well #24 property located at 101 North Livingston Street.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Water Utility is upgrading the electrical service for the Water Utility Well #24 facility (the "Facility"), located at 101 North Livingston Street; and
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company ("MG&E") will be upgrading its electric service to the Facility, and therefore have requested an underground electric line easement, across a portion of the Water Utility property, for its new underground electric line facilities; and
WHEREAS, MG&E has also requested two easements for its existing electrical facilities that are located on the easterly side of the Facility; and
WHEREAS, City of Madison Water Utility and the Office of Real Estate Services staff have reviewed and approve of the granting of said easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Electric Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of the Water Utility property, located at 101 North Livingston Street, legally described as follows:
Two strips of land, ten (10) feet in width; and two parcels of land, one being ten (10) feet in width and the other being fifteen (15) feet in width, located in Lots 1-4, Block 142, Original Plat of Madison, lying in part of the Southeast ¼ of the Northwest ¼ of Section 13, Town 7 North, Range 9 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, of said strips being more particularly described as follows:
The right of way shall be located approximately as set forth in the drawing attached hereto as Exhibit A and dated July 16, 2014.
