Preamble
By Resolution No. 2654, adopted May 12, 2005, the CDA designated the boundaries of the 800 Block East Washington Avenue Redevelopment Area and approved the 800 Block East Washington Avenue Redevelopment Plan. The Redevelopment Area contained the two lots that comprised all of the properties located in Block 143, Original Plat. The Redevelopment Plan anticipated that the CDA would exercise its powers under the Redevelopment Law to assist new development. The CDA's powers were not exercised, and the City acquired all the property located in the Redevelopment District and now intends to sell it for private redevelopment. As required by statute, the Redevelopment Plan was recorded in the Office of the Dane County Register of Deeds. In order to clear the Redevelopment Plan from title prior to the City's conveyance to the private developer, an official termination of the Redevelopment Plan is necessary. The Redevelopment Plan was set to expire December 31, 2015.
Now therefore be it resolved, that the 800 Block East Washington Avenue Redevelopment Plan is hereby terminated.
