Request from Erika Monroe-Kane and Ellen Carlson for the use of various City parks from May 31, 2014 through June 30, 2014 for the Where Are You Going? temporary art installation.

Parks staff approves the "Where are you going?" art proposal to be located at various Madison Parks, provided you and your project team agree to comply with the following conditions:
 
1.      Aldermanic notification is required by the sponsor.  Contact the following Alders at your earliest convenience:

The artists agree to comply with any and all site recommendations made by them.  This includes instructions for where to affix the ground stickers so as to maintain user safety on the trails/sidewalks and where to place your other temporary items (i.e., sidewalk chalk, etc.) for the duration of your display.
3.      If any staking is required for the installation, the artist is responsible for contacting Digger's Hotline, 811 or 800-242-8511, 7-10 days prior to installation and provide the Parks Office with the ticket number.  Please contact Kathryn Padorr at 264-9289 or kpadorr@cityofmadison.com <mailto:kpadorr@cityofmadison.com>.
4.      The artist is responsible for continual inspection of each area in which the artwork is placed to ensure it maintains its original integrity and intent, along with replacing supplies for each location, as needed.  Any graffiti, profanity or in appropriate notations by participants shall be promptly removed by the artists or their designated volunteers.
5.      The artist is responsible for securing the installation.  Madison Parks is not liable for any vandalism or theft of property.
6.      A Certificate of Insurance naming the City of Madison as an additional insured shall be provided no less than two weeks prior to the installation.
7.      The artist or Madison Parks may remove the installation at any time before the end date of the project if maintenance by the parks division is required and/or if the piece(s) is damaged or vandalized.
8.      The Park turf and grounds surrounding the art installation must be restored to its original state and receive approval from the Parks supervisor's at the end of the display period.
