Fiscal Note
Funding of $80,000 30,000 for capital improvements is available in the Department of the Planning and Community and Economic Development agency Adopted Capital Budget, Project No. 8, "Neighborhood Centers," Acc't No. 810559. The 2014 adopted operating budget of CDBG includes $51,500 for operating costs associated with the Center. No additional appropriation is required.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Isthmus Architecture, Inc. to provide additional architectural and engineering design services related to Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Construction Administration for the demolition and rebuilding rehab of the site a duplex for use as the Theresa Terrace Neighborhood Center.
Body
WHEREAS the adopted Capital Budget of the Planning and Community and Economic Development agency includes funding for costs related to the rehabilitation of neighborhood centers; and,
WHEREAS the costs for Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and Construction Administration for the rehab of the duplex for use as the Theresa Terrace Neighborhood Center are projected to be $80,000 30,000; and,
WHEREAS the 2014 Operating Budget includes $51,500 from which the City will support operations and programs to be offered at the center; and
WHEREAS the operator of the center will be selected through a Request for Proposal process with selection of the operator complete by April 30, 2014; and
WHEREAS Isthmus Architecture through a contract with the City dated October 29, 2013 has provided Pre-Design services and cost estimates related to this project; and,
WHEREAS Isthmus Architecture was selected to provide Pre-Design services through a competitive Request for Proposal process; and,
WHEREAS Isthmus Architecture is a local firm with expertise on these types of projects and public process, has worked with the City of Madison on other remodel and renovation projects, and through its work on Pre-...
