Approving the Fire Chief or his designee to sign inter-governmental agreements with other jurisdictions.
Body
The Fire Department frequently coordinates response guidelines with other jurisdictions in Dane County and shares equipment.  An example, is the Dane County Sheriff Department approved the Fire Department Lake/Water Rescue Team to use its air boat
 
The City Attorney and Risk Manager are developing an memorandum of understanding that would be signed by the Fire Chief or his designee and the jurisdiction as  to response guidelines and  use of equipment.

WHEREAS, the City wishes to work with other communities in Dane County .
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Fire Department  will work with other jurisdictions in Dane County to improve emergency response and on the sharing of equipment.
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Attorney and Risk Manager will develop and approve the memorandum of understanding as to response guidelines and the sharing of equipment with other jurisdictions in Dane County.
 
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Fire Chief or his designee has the authority to sign these agreements on be-half of the City.
