Title
Direct the Office of Real Estate Services, the Planning Division, the Community Development Authority (CDA) and the Community Development Division (CDD) to research the housing and neighborhood conditions in Owl Creek and issue a report to the Mayor and Common Council.
Body
WHEREAS, the Owl Creek Neighborhood Resource Team (Owl Creek NRT) exists to focus city efforts to improve delivery of services and better connect City government to the Owl Creek NRT focus area; and
 
WHEREAS, a variety of issues resulting from the type of housing, needs related to the demographics of the population, and neighborhood conditions in the Owl Creek NRT focus area have been identified by the Owl Creek NRT and City officials; and
 
WHEREAS, a significant and increasing amount of City human and financial resources are required to provide services to the Owl Creek NRT focus area.
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the Common Council hereby direct the staff from the Office of Real Estate Services, the Planning Division, the CDA and CDD to:
 
1. Research and report on the housing and neighborhood conditions in the Owl Creek NRT focus area, and
 
2. Recommend to the Mayor and the Common Council strategic initiatives to be taken by the City to reduce the amount of City resources needed in the Owl Creek NRT focus area.
