I hereby submit, for your consideration and approval, the following citizen committee appointments. Committee applications for mayoral appointments are attached. Statement of Interest forms are on file for these appointees where applicable.
ALLIED AREA TASK FORCE

MMSD Superintendent appointment:
JALATEEFA JOE-MEYERS - appointed to the position of Madison Metropolitan School District Superintendent Designee. Ms. Joe-Meyers is the Family and Community Engagement Coordinator with MMSD. She succeeds Daniel R. Wood.
COMMITTEE ON THE ENVIRONMENT
ELIZABETH A. KATT-REINDERS (12th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Citizen Member. Ms. Katt-Reinders is the Policy & Program Director for the Clean Lakes Alliance. She succeeds Reginald N. Weide.

DOWNTOWN COORDINATING COMMITTEE
SANDRA TORKILDSON (2nd A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Citizen Member. Ms. Torkildson is the owner of A Room of One's Own bookstore.

MADISON FOOD POLICY COUNCIL
CASSANDRA M. VANDERWALL (1st A.D.) - appoint to a three-year term to the position of Health Care Provider Representative. Ms. Vanderwall is a clinical nutritionist with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Hospital and Clinics and previously held this position from 10/2012-6/2013.

SATYA RHODES-CONWAY (12th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Citizen Member. First appointed 6-18-2013.

TOPF WELLS (11th A.D.) - reappoint to a three-year term to the position of Citizen Member. First appointed 10-16-2012.

MADISON'S CENTRAL BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (BID) BOARD
KRISTOPHER M. WACHOWIAK (4th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of At-Large Central Downtown Representative. Mr. Wachowiak is the Co-owner/Director of Operations for Deja Food, LLC. He succeeds Traci A. Miller.

OVERTURE CENTER FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS
MARK J. FRAIRE (2nd A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a three-year term to the position of Mayoral Appointee. Mr. Fraire is the Grants and Fund Development Director for the Madison Metropolitan School District. He has been active with many organizations including the Tenney Neighborhood Association, Centro Hispano and the YMCA. Mr. Fraire succeeds Pablo Sanchez.

SUSTAINABLE MADISON COMMITTEE
DAVID P. RHODE (3rd A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a two-year term to the position of Member. Mr. Rhode currently holds the First Alternate position and has served since 7-16-2013. He succeeds Selamawit Z. Wondaferew.
TERM EXPIRES: 6-30-2015
ZACHARY T. SCHUSTER (4th A.D.) - appoint to the remainder of a two-year term to the position of First Alternate. Mr. Schuster is a research assistant and Ph.D. candidate in the field of Environmental Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He succeeds David P. Rhode who assumed a member position.
