Fiscal Note

Funds received from the State will be used to purchase the cots; no City funding is required.

Title

Amending the 2013 Fire Operating budget to purchase two patient power loading cots from the EMS FAP funds.

Body

The City receives funding from the  State Emergency Medical Services Funding Assistance Program (FAP) for Fire Department use to improve emergency medical services and for aids.  The second funding level is emergency medical services training.  These funds cannot replace existing City funding and are specific to the amount allocated for training and the amount to improve emergency medical services and for aids.  The Fire Department currently has thee patient power loading cots purchased with grant and Fire Department Capital Budget funds.  The Department is requesting to purchase two additional cots from the FAP funds.

WHEREAS, the Fire Department has funding for the purchase of two patient power load cots

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council approves the purchase of two patient power load cots utilizing funding from the State to improve emergency medical services delivery.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Operating Budget be amended as follows:
