Body
The City of Madison Fire Department has received notification from the State of Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs as to the award of a grant for the Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) in the amount of $267,609.  The grant covers the metropolitan area which includes Dane County.  The focus areas for this program are interoperable communications, medical supplies, training, exercises, mass casualty response, alternate care facilities and patient care.

WHEREAS, the City of Madison wishes to continue working with other emergency responders in the metropolitan area  on a mass casualty response system;and
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council approve acceptance of the Homeland Security Program grant award from the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs for the MMRS  Program; and
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council adopts the grant budget; and
 
BE IT STILL FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor, Clerk and other designated City employees are authorized to execute the necessary grant documents.
