Fiscal Note
The wage rate differential for the houly salaries as compared to the City Living Wage ranges from $0.06/hr (Library Pages) to $0.62/hr (Event Aides).  Based on the most recent complete year's data (2012), the estimated projected cost for all of 2013 is about $7,200 for wages, plus an estimated $800 for benefits, or total estimated City costs of $8,000.  The majority of the costs (an estimated $5,900, including benefit expense) would be for Library Pages.  Each agency that employs hourly employees eligible for back-pay and a wage increase will accommodate the additional expenses in the current operating budget.  No additional appropriation is required.
