Title
Approval of an Intergovernmental Agreement relating to the Indian Trace Sanitary Sewer and allowing certain properties within the City of Monona to connect to the Madison Sewer Utility in accordance with MGO 35.02(4)(b).
Body
PREAMBLE

There are currently three buildings within the City of Monona that are connected and served by sanitary sewer owned and operated by the Madison Sewer Utility that are not currently customers or billed by the Madison Sewer Utility for service.  The Common Council can allow properties outside the City of Madison to connect to Madison Sewer in accordance with MGO 35.02(4)(b).  Allowing the existing connections to remain and the additional sewer customer revenue generated by having these Monona properties as customers of the Madison Sewer Utility are in the City's interest, with sewer connection terms established by an Intergovernmental Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council hereby finds that allowing the existing connections with the three buildings in the City of Monona currently connected and served by the City of Madison Sewer Utility is in the best interest of the City of Madison.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Monona relating to the Indian Trace Sanitary Sewer connection that will allow these connections to remain and the buildings to become customers of the City of Madison Sewer Utility, subject to terms approved by the City Attorney and the City Engineer.
