Madison West High School Swim Team Day
Body
WHEREAS, Madison West High School is a comprehensive four year high school with a current enrollment of approximately 2,220 students from various social, economic and cultural backgrounds that includes a large international population; and
WHEREAS, Madison West High School was named a "National School of Excellence" by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the North Central Association; and
WHEREAS, the Madison West High School boys swim team placed second in the 2013 WIAA Boys Division I State Tournament in February of 2013; and
WHEREAS, this marks the first time in 20 years that Madison West High School and Madison Memorial High School placed first and second in the team competition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Madison, Wisconsin, does hereby proclaim Tuesday, June 18, 2013, as MADISON WEST HIGH SCHOOL SWIM TEAM DAY in the City of Madison.
