A Companion resolution, per Legistar File No. 29739, was introduced on April 30, 2013 amending DPCED Project No. 18 (Account No. 823901) and Water Utility Project No. 2 by adding $200,000 for the relocation of an existing water main located in Outlot 2 of the proposed replat of the World Dairy Campus / Bio Ag plat. This project is 100% assessable to the benefitting property owners. The schedule of assessments will be approved under a separate resolution.

PREAMBLE:
The City is proceeding to take the ownership of the private streets located in the World Dairy Campus and convert them to public right of way as part of a pilot study and report for Converting Private Street to Public Right of Way and Providing City Services to Private Street, per resolution RES-12-00453, File No. 25812. The business association in the World Dairy Campus will be required to have the City reconstruct the streets and utilities to bring them up to City standards. Portions of the streets will be reconstructed and the improvements assessed to the benefitting property owners. Prior to the City’s project being awarded, the business association will be required to enter into a Contract for the Conversion of Private Streets to Public Right of Way and sign a waiver of hearing and notice for the forthcoming assessments related to the project.
