Title
Authorizing the execution of an Underground Gas and Electric Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of a City Water Utility parcel located at 4901 Tradewinds Parkway.
Body
WHEREAS, the City Water Utility owns a vacant lot in the Genesis Plat, described as Lot 9, which is proposed as a future well site, and is addressed at 4901 Tradewinds Parkway; and
 
WHEREAS, said Genesis Plat is located easterly of and adjacent to the Tradewinds Business Centre Plat; and
 
WHEREAS, Madison Gas and Electric Company ("MG&E") has been asked to install underground gas and electric service to serve the development of the adjacent Tradewinds Business Centre Plat, and as a result have requested an underground gas and electric line easement, across a portion of the City Water Utility parcel, for their underground gas and electric line facilities; and
 
WHEREAS, City Water Utility and Office of Real Estate Services staff has reviewed and approve of the granting of said easement.
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Underground Gas and Electric Line Easement to Madison Gas and Electric Company across a portion of the City Water Utility parcel located at 4901 Tradewinds Parkway, legally described as follows:
 
A strip of land, ten (10) feet in width, located in Lot 9, Genesis Plat, lying in part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 27, Town 7 North, Range 10 East, City of Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, the centerline of said strip being more particularly described as follows:
 
The Northerly and Easterly 10 feet of said Lot 9. Said 10-foot-wide easement strip lying parallel with and adjacent to the Southerly right-of-way line of Tradewinds Parkway, the corner radius curve, and the Westerly right-of-way line Jadon Drive.
