Body
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the transition from contracted clubhouse operations to in-house clubhouse operations in the 2013 Adopted Operating Budget; and

WHEREAS, the City Council, Board of Estimates, and the Personnel Board approved amending Section 3.54(1)(i)1 of the Madison General Ordinances by creating the classification of Golf Clubhouse Operations Supervisor in Compensation Group 19, Range 07, thereof in Legistar file #28381 (attached); and

WHERAS, the City Council, Board of Estimates and Personnel Board approved the creation of the 1.0 FTE position of Golf Clubhouse Operations Supervisor in the Golf Enterprise Operating Budget in Legistar file #28500 (attached); and

WHEREAS, an open and competitive hiring process is being was conducted to select a candidate for the Golf Clubhouse Supervisor position; and

WHEREAS, the hiring process resulted in Mr. Nicoll being selected as the best qualified candidate for the position of Golf Clubhouse Supervisor position; and

WHEREAS, an Employment Agreement will be negotiated including provisions for performance-based incentive pay above the base salary of up to 15% of league, outing, and greens fee revenue above established thresholds and up to 50% of net revenue from lessons; and

WHEREAS, the term of the contract will begin on approximately February 27, 2013 and will remain in effect unless terminated under the provisions of the agreement; and

WHEREAS, the Agreement shall be in a form approved by the Finance Director and the City Attorney;
