Fiscal Note
The CDD 2013 operating budget will need to be amended to recognize grant funds of $5,000, which will be offset by $5,000 in expenditures for Community Agency Contracts. There is no impact on the levy.

Body
WHEREAS, the City of Madison has been awarded $5,000 in grant funds from the Division of Community Corrections, State of Wisconsin for the period 1-1-13 through 12-31-13; and

WHEREAS, the Communities Against Violence identified 2 currently contracted agencies servicing the Special Investigative Unit targeted population, to provide collaborative services to address barriers to employment.

WHEREAS, the City will allocate $2,500 to Construction Training, Inc. and $2,500 to the YWCA for the purchase of services in relation to this project;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Madison, through the Community Development Division is authorized to accept $5,000 from the Department of Corrections State of Wisconsin 1-1-13 through 12-31-13;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Common Council authorizes expenditures of the available funds as follows:

ยท $2,500 to Construction Training, Inc. and $2,500 to the YWCA for the purchase of services in relation to this project .

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to enter into a Purchase of Service Agreement, through the Community Development Division, with the Construction Training, Inc.and YWCA; and
