Fiscal Note
The Police Department's 2013 Operating Budget includes $90,000 of revenue derived from the Training Center. This resolution provides the opportunity for increased revenue by authorizing use of the facility by protection and security firms and other private entities that provide specialized law enforcement training. No additional expenditure is anticipated.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution RES-11-00918, File # 24223 adopted on November 3, 2011, the Chief of Police is authorized to establish and modify Training Center space use fees and to execute Space Use Agreements with other law enforcement agencies, governmental organizations, or other group with law enforcement affiliations for use of rooms, including the indoor range, and/ or lands around the City of Madison Police Training Center located at 5702 Femrite Dr., Madison, WI, for the purpose of providing law enforcement and related trainings subject to specified terms and conditions:; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution RES-10-00998, File # 17790 adopted on April 13, 2010, the Madison Police Department is authorized to accept registration fees for the purpose of providing training for law enforcement personnel, and to utilize funds obtained to pay the costs associated with implementing training; and

WHEREAS, the Training Center has the ability to host multiple training activities simultaneously; and,

WHEREAS, the Training Center has the ability to operate 24/7; and,
