This parcel has been owned by the City for several years and there is no local property tax liability, so there are no revenue sharing considerations relative to the proposed attachment. No appropriation is required.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an attachment petition to cause those portions of Bill Kettle Field not located in the City to be attached from the Town of Blooming Grove.
Body
WHEREAS since 1986, the City of Madison has owned a 42.08-acre property located on the west side of County Trunk Highway (CTH) AB, adjacent to Dane County's Rodefeld Landfill, which the City operates as Bill Kettle Field, a public parkland ("the property"); and
WHEREAS the property has never been attached or annexed to the City and is mostly located in the Town of Blooming Grove; and
WHEREAS the City endeavors to annex or attach properties it owns into its corporate limits whenever practical;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to execute the attachment petition and all documents related thereto to cause the property to be attached to the City from the Town of Blooming Grove.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Office of Real Estate Services is authorized to file the attachment petition with the Town of Blooming Grove and City of Madison Clerk according to the procedures for intermediate attachments in Section 10A(1) of the 2006 Town of Blooming Grove and City of Madison Cooperative Plan.
