Fiscal Note
Total funding of $1,239,600 (comprised of $639,600 in Federal TIGER II grant funds, plus $600,000 in available TID proceeds) for this project has been included in the 2013 Adopted Capital Budget of the Department of Planning & Community & Economic Development (DPCED), Project No. 12, "Judge Doyle Square," Account No. 810707. This funding in 2013 is net of about $400,000 ($312K from Federal grant funds) that had been previously committed in support of the first phase of the planning process.

This Resolution authorizes initiation of the next phase of planning for Judge Doyle Square - the issuance of the Request for Qualifications document to solicit private development teams to undertake the project with the City. Additionally, the Resolution authorizes the extension of the existing Judge Doyle Square Project Management Services Agreement for one additional year, from May 2013 to April 2014, at a cost not to exceed $50,000.

Staff resources from the Department of Planning & Community & Economic Development, Traffic Engineering, Parking Utility and City Engineering will be allocated to provide support for the Request for Qualifications process without the need for additional expenditure.

All future expenditures associated with the project will require further Council approval other than the costs associated with administering the current RFQ/RFP process.
