Title: REduce Your Waste Stream Challenge The Streets Division will be launching a new program in 2012 called the Reduce Your Waste Stream Challenge. The program is patterned after a successful program in Waukesha County. Streets is purchasing the rights for the program from the Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW). AROW will provide technical support, record keeping and web hosting for the program which will kick off around Earth Day. The Reduce Your Waste Stream Challenge involves teams of neighbors working to reduce their volume of refuse they generate by increasing their recycling and composting and changing their purchasing habits. After several delays the Challange was finally launched with 16 households participating.  The Challange began on October 14th with initial weighins and the waste reduction porting starting the week of 10/21.  The Chalalnge will run for four weeks.
