Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute an Amendment to the contract between Madison and Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC for additional design engineering services for Mineral Point Road/CTH S and Junction Road/CTH M (9th AD)

PREAMBLE:
The City is proposing to reconstruct Mineral Point Road (CTH S) from Pleasant View Road to the Beltline and Junction Road (CTH M) from Isaac Drive to Valley View Road in 2012-2014. The City of Madison has entered into a design engineering contract with Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC. The consultant's services include final design and preparation of final plans, specifications and construction estimates for the project.
The City Engineer recommends that additional design services be undertaken by Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC. They are:
1. Design of a 12' x 4' box culvert for storm drainage and associated manholes & endwall
3. Additional design & analyses for traffic control associated with construction of the box culvert
4. Additional design & analyses for appearance of rock in soil borings
5. Additional design & analyses for a new bio-swale infiltration basin
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute an Amendment to the contract between Madison and Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC for additional design engineering services for Mineral Point Road/CTH S and Junction Road/CTH M.
