Fiscal Note
The proposed salary of the new Director is $105,000 annually, plus benefit expense. Sufficient funding for the Director's salary and benefits is included in the 2012 Adopted operating budget of the Community Development Division (CDD). The 2013 Executive operating budget for CDD provides funding of $100,785 for the Director's salary, plus benefit expense, so CDD will need to absorb the additional total salary and benefit expense of approximately $5,745 through managment of its salary savings.

WHEREAS, Mayor Paul Soglin has appointed James D. O'Keefe to the position of Community Development Division Director and has recommended to the Common Council that his appointment be confirmed; and,
WHEREAS, the parties have reached an accord on the terms and conditions of an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. O'Keefe,
NOW THEREFORE, be resolved that Mr. O'Keefe's appointment to the position of Community Development Division Director is hereby confirmed, and the Mayor and the City Clerk's office are authorized to execute an Employment Agreement between the City and Mr. O'Keefe.
