Revenue from the ambulance fee is included in General Fund Revenues. Costs associated with contracting with a third-party provider are included in the Finance Department’s 2013 Executive Operating Budget, based on the negotiated rate of 4.25% of net collections.

Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into an agreement with Advanced Data Processing, Inc. DBA Intermedix to provide ambulance billing services and consulting.
Body
WHEREAS, the City participated in a bidding process to solicit proposals (RFP 8615-0-2017-BP) for Ambulance Billing Services,and
WHEREAS, a staff team, evaluated six proposals, and subsequently conducted interviews and product demonstrations with the two highest ranked bidders; and
WHEREAS, the staff team unanimously recommended Advanced Data Processing Inc. DBA Intermedix (Intermedix) for contract award; and
WHEREAS, Intermedix will provide ambulance and fire response billing and consulting services for a rate of 4.25% of net collections; and
WHEREAS, the contract term will be one year with four, one year renewal options; and
WHEREAS, Intermedix has affirmed they will continue the City’s hardship waiver and installment payment programs;
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Common Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to enter into a contract for purchase of services, in a form approved by the City Attorney, with Advanced Data Processing Inc. DBA Intermedix for ambulance billing and consulting services.
