Commending Jeff Kuesel for 27 years of public service.
Body
WHEREAS, in 1985, Jeff Kuesel was a founding member of the Blair Street Gardens Committee, a private, non-profit community organization; and
 
WHEREAS, Jeff's leadership of the Blair Street Gardens Committee has been instrumental in transforming the areas known as the Wilson Green, the MG&E Garden and the Gateway Garden at the corner of John Nolen Drive and Williamson, Wilson and Blount Streets into beautiful gardens for the community to enjoy; and
 
WHEREAS, Jeff has selflessly donated countless volunteer hours to design, plant and maintain the gardens, including planting thousands of spring bulbs and nurturing thousands of seedlings and plants, and working endlessly in the gardens during good weather and bad; and
 
WHEREAS, Jeff has coordinated the work of volunteers, contractors and City staff to assist with the planting and maintenance, and has raised the private monies necessary to fund the gardens; and
WHEREAS, Jeff's hard work has created beauty that thousands of citizens enjoy each year;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Common Council commend and thank Jeff Kuesel for his 27 years of leadership and service to the people of Madison.
