Relating to il Corvo Pedal Cab Service application for a Pedal Cab operator license.
Body
WHEREAS, il Corvo Pedicab Service has applied for a pedal-cab service operator license and 1 flat rate permit (vehicle);
WHEREAS, il Corvo Pedicab Service has been granted a provisional pedal-cab service by the Traffic Engineer as the operator has met the criteria as provided under MGO 11.06(2)(c) including a valid public passenger driver permit, proof of proper liability insurance coverage and approved vehicle inspection;
WHEREAS, a pedal cab operator may apply and be granted a provisional pedal-cab service operator license, and the application must receive final approval by the Transit and Parking Commission and Common Council;
WHEREAS, any route changes by il Corvo would be subject to review by Traffic Engineering;
WHEREAS, this vehicle would be subject to all state laws and Madison Ordinances pertaining to bicycles; and
WHEREAS, the City's Risk Manager has reviewed the applicant's liability insurance coverage and found that it complies with city ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council approves the il Corvo application to operate a pedal cab and approves its request for one flat rate permit in 2012.
LET IT FURTHER BE RESOLVED that il Corvo Pedicab Service for a pedal-cab service operator license and one flat rate permit, subject to the provisions and conditions as stated above and the ordinances of the City of Madison, be approved.
