Costs for the remainder of 2012 are estimated at $17,821, or $24,290 including benefits. Annualized costs are projected at $54,085, or $73,718 including benefits. This position will be funded in its entirety by reimbursement from the Madison Parks Foundation. No appropriation is required, nor is any levy support anticipated for current or future years.

SUBSTITUTE Create a new 1.0 FTE Limited Term position of Madison Parks Foundation Coordinator in the Parks Division Budget in CG18, Range 8, authorize the Coordinator to raise funds for the Madison Parks Foundation, and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute an agreement governing duties of the Coordinator with the Madison Parks Foundation.

Whereas, by Resolution 12-0056, Legistar number 26651, the City authorized the transfer of funds to the Madison Parks Foundation; and,
Whereas, there is a need to coordinate City activities with the Parks Foundation; and
Whereas, this coordination would initially be done by the Parks Foundation Coordinator, the limited term employee of the City of Madison authorized in this resolution; and,
Whereas, the Madison Parks Foundation will reimburse the City for the Salary and benefits for the Parks Foundation Coordinator; and,
Whereas, the Parks Foundation Coordinator will not be an employee of the Parks Foundation but will need to raise funds on behalf of the Foundation; and
Whereas, the City's Ethics Code may limit the ability of the Coordinator to raise such funds, but the Council may authorize such fundraising in certain circumstances; and,
Whereas, the conditions to allow such fundraising set forth in Sec. 3.35(5)(a)2, MGO, have been met; and
