Fiscal Note
This is an agreement that provides for the reimbursement by St. Mary's Hospital to Metro Transit for all fixed route and ADA paratransit trips provided by Metro Transit to St. Mary's Hospital employees and volunteers during the contract term. Metro Transit shall be reimbursed at the rate of $1.15 per ride for fixed route trips and the per ride paratransit rate in effect at the time the ride is taken for paratransit trips for the first year of the agreement (January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013) and the per ride rate in the then current fare tariff at the time the ride is taken for all rides for the second year of the agreement (January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014.) Metro has included estimated revenue of $54,700 in its 2013 operating budget for this agreement. Estimated revenue wil be included in Metro's operating budget for each additional year of the agreement.

Authorizing the Mayor and the City Clerk to enter into an agreement with SSM Health Care of Wisconsin, Inc., owning and operating St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center, for the provision of employee/volunteer passes for Metro Transit fixed route and ADA paratransit services, with reimbursement to the transit utility of $1.15 per fixed route trip and the applicable paratransit price in the fare tariff at the time the ride is taken during the first year of the agreement (January 1, 2013 - December 31, 2013) and the applicable per ride price in the then current fare tariff at the time the ride is taken for all rides during the second year of the agreement (January 1, 2014 - December 31, 2014.)

WHEREAS, SSM Health Care of Wisconsin, Inc., owning and operating St. Marys Hospital, and Metro Transit have had a successful and productive contracting arrangement for an employee/volunteer pass program for several years and both parties wish to continue the program; and
WHEREAS the parties have negotiated a contract which meets all Transit and Parking Commission criteria set in advance for pass agreements;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk are authorized to enter into a one year pass agreement with SSM Health Care of Wisconsin, owning and operating St. Mary's Hospital from January 1, 2013 through December 31, 2013 which will automatically be renewed for one additional year from January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2014, with reimbursement to the transit utility at the rate of $1.15 per fixed route trip and the paratransit rate in effect at the time the ride is taken for paratransit trips during the first year of the agreement and the per ride rate in effect in the then current fare tariff for all rides during the second year of the agreement.
