Welcoming participants to Madison, Wisconsin for the Forward Technology Festival, August 16-25, 2012.
Body
WHEREAS, over 500 technology entrepreneurs, designers, geeks, hackers, and creative professionals from around the Midwest will convene for a 10-day conference in Madison, Wisconsin to celebrate innovation and entrepreneurship; and,
 
WHEREAS, the Forward Technology 2012 Festival provides an opportunity for those professionals to interact across a wide range of disciplines to learn, share and have some fun; and,
 
WHEREAS, participants will hear from experts on a wide range of topics relevant to technology business; and,
 
WHEREAS, Madison was named one of the Top Ten best places to be an entrepreneur by Entrepreneur magazine and referred to Madison as "The Diversifer" for expanding businesses in the biotech, healthcare, and software industries and was named one of the "Top Ten Technology Incubators That Are Changing the World" by Forbes magazine;
 
NOW, THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Mayor and Madison Common Council welcome that participants of the Forward Technology 2012 Festival and wish them a successful conference in Madison, Wisconsin.
